I bought the kit from my post above. I will update to let anyone know if this works with the larger diameter for anyone that buys the new coolers.
Upgrading my old mash tun to a new 10 gallon Igloo (home depot) cooler. I was going to use my old fittings, but the hole size of the new Home Depot coolers are 1".
Went to the depot and lowes to look for fittings, but no luck. I came across this which may be worth buying...
Not at all. Stored outside normal side up for over a year, seriously no issues whatsoever.
Might have displaced it a little, but not too sure. As it happened with both containers my theory is that they simply don't like to be stored upside down.

It is definitely from the weight of whatever is in the storage container on the gasket lid creating a small gap to allow moisture in. With them standing upright there is no issue of the gasket being crushed and deformed.
I store my grain outside all year, no issues, ever, for years. I was sick of having the top lid fill up with water and get nasty. I researched online and it seemed to be ok to store these upside down.
WRONG (If you store these outside)!!! I have the 50 lb containers

I doubt you could damage the interior of the corny with oxi clean. I've let it sit for periods of time with zero issues. I would try soaking again with really hot water, then rinse
I just went straight off their website and taste. All I know is that this stuff STINKS (In a good way), Just blasts you with Aussie hops. Didn't have any wheat malt on hand so I left it out. I am also curious how much they really put in.

With ski season coming to a close I won't be up in VT as much this summer and want to enjoy some Limbo at home. Here is my first attempt at this recipe. Let me know if you like, love it, hate it.
