Colohox, Thanks! yeah, The suby purchase was made over 4 years ago with the intent on camping, chasing snow and eventually moving somewhere for the two. New to Summit County CO. Looking for homebrewers!

Hey All! While I'm not necessarily "new" to HBT forums, I haven't participated much. Figured I'd tap back into this as a resource to meet some new friends. Sorry for the repost, I put this in the introductions, but figure this may be a better place for this. I just moved to from the suburbs...

Hey All! While I'm not necessarily "new" to HBT forums, I haven't participated much. Figured I'd tap back into this as a resource to meet some new friends. I just moved to from the suburbs of Philadelphia to Silverthorne CO about a month ago. I've been spending most of my time snowboarding...

    Yeast Storage?

Took until about 3 days to see some activity in the airlock, but its been bubbling pretty actively since about day 4. Another question...my propane tank ran out of gas about 54 minutes into the boil, I still hopped it at 59 minutes. How much of an effect on not getting the full boil have on the...

    Yeast Storage?

Thanks Guys! I haven't made a starter yet, I'm fairly new to brewing, I usually just pitch yeast and let it do its thing. From browsing the forums it seems to be what the majority of you do. I will have to give it a go and see if the yeast are still good.

    Yeast Storage?

Also, forgot to mention the time period, its been sitting unrefrigerated for over a month! This in itself is bad in that I should have brewed by now, but hectic class and work schedule has had be preoccupied.

    Yeast Storage?

Here's the deal, I bought a kit to bring back to school with me and didn't open it up until now. The yeast in the kit is liquid yeast and since I didn't open it, it never got refrigerated. It was not exposed to high temperature. What are the chances it's still good? There's no LHBS in the area...

    Newbie saying HI

Welcome! Just joined a few days ago myself. The resources here are basically endless! I'm an IPA man myself, I drink so many of them throughout the fall- till it gets warm again that its hard to make the adjustment to spring / summer session beers.

    Hi from Florida!!

I'm new to brewing myself, but I've been obsessed with craft beers since I turned 21 and left the world of Natty behind. One of my buddy's up at school who also has a passion for good craft beers asked me if I wanted to come brew so I went to his apartment and we brewed an amber ale back in...

    Orange / Coriander Pale Ale

Thanks Nohup, I'll check it out for sure, although blue moon is a wheat beer, this recipe is an ale so I don't think they'll be to similar. I wouldn't mind brewing up a blue moon clone anyhow, my other choice was going to be a blood orange hefeweizen recipe from Sam Calagione, so I'm sure a...

U.S. tap to homebrew conversion help!

WildWest... The link in your signature caught my attention, I have to say well done sir, your brew shed man cave is f'n awesome. I didn't expect the finished product to be what it was, "brew shed" makes one think just that, brewing in a shed. It surely is a thing of beauty.
