I’d get rid of the Crystal 10 and boost the El Dorado. I love the flavors and aromas of that hop. Raising the mash temp would help. What’s your water profile like?
I’ve made this a few times. Delicious but was super astringent my first time trying.

My recommendation is to stop using 3 piece airlocks. Sure star San won’t hurt a beer but the dead fruit flies getting in there and then getting sucked in is just gross.
If I understand correctly then the acid blend is more for flavor adjustments and not so much chemistry. I was looking into adjusting mash ph and had this on hand. I’ll pick up some lactic or phosphoric next trip to the home brew shop. Thank you
Does anyone have any experience using this acid blend in beer? I’ve tried searching a few times but all I’ve come up with is “One Teaspoon Of Acid Blend Will Raise One Gallon By .15%.” There doesn’t seem to be a ph equivalent to that statement. At this point I’m just going to pick up a ph meter...
It’s about 3 weeks in trying to grow from a bottle of GTS original. Is it working? I’m guilty of lifting the lid a few times so I’m just hoping it’s not ruined.
It’s tough to drink for me. If I get halfway through I can drink the rest, but with the gypsum addition it’s a proper crushable beer. I had been trying to diagnose this problem for the last 2 months
I’ve run plastic soda bottles through the dishwasher with PBW then sanitized with starsan. These were bottles rinsed immediately after consuming so there wasn’t any stuck on residue though.
Thanks everyone for the tips. The plan is to dissolve everything into a distilled water solution to avoid the nucleation problem. It’s a Vienna Lager so hopefully oxidation is kept to a minimum.
Going to be micro dosing some bottles with gypsum to adjust the mineral content, but I'm not sure how much carbonation is going to be lost by uncapping them. Does anyone have any experience with this or know how much carbonation is lost in breaking that seal?
The information I received from YVH was that it’s a blend consisting of mostly Cascade. That’s all they would tell me. I have a pale ale with all buzz bullets besides 1/2 oz magnum at 60, 2oz late addition and 2 oz dry hop in the works right now. I’ll report back when it’s done
