    Opened my first mead yesterday...

    Og was 1.110. Fg was 1.010 12 cups of water, 3 pounds of honey, yeast nutrient and nottingham ale yeast. I want to add honey to it and age it. Its 1 gallon. How much should I add? Should I do anything else other then that plus aging?

    Went to add honey to my beer today and found bits of what looks like yeast cake floating. It's been in secondary for a week and I'm about to add 3 oz of honey mixed with water and let it set another week and then on to bottleing. But anyways. What is that?
