I wouldn't worry too much just yet. What temp are you fermenting at? I would say that almost all wine yeasts will make very little head while fermenting but it looks like you are on the right path with taking a gravity reading.

I could be in, in a couple weeks. Won't be off of work until the last week of the year. I hate it when we get put on mandatory overtime....we will be cranking up after the new year too.

I would say to get something you can control the vacuum you are pulling. I have both a pump and this rig and i like both :-)
