    Save my beer

I didn't look at the water quality when I made this batch of beer. I not long moved to Ramsgate and just went ahead and brewed a kit beer I have done many times before. Anyway.... Its tastes awful this time. Taste of blood or Pennies. Cheaked the water quality and there is a large amount of...

    What are you drinking now?

A forced carbonated cider I quickly whipped up. Its a bit naff if I'm honest but it was from tesco apple juice so I wasn't expecting much

Sake / saki Angel Rice Leaven experiment

Seen them all at this point. Got to the old videos more recently. I wish I. Got to them sooner because knowing koji isn't actually mold it's just a name for the rice with Aspergillus Oryzae it might have saved me a headache

Sake / saki Angel Rice Leaven experiment

Yeah that's the idea. My problem was all the videos and advice is so mixed it's hard to know where your going. I would like to think I have a reasonable idea what I'm doing now. But ai definitely started to cold. Its not all that different from making anything else but I guess I got lost in the...

    Koji on malts? 🤔

Using koji on malts and grains. Has anyone tried this? Now I know that there is probably isn't the most effective way of doing but I'm just interested if there are different flavours if your extracting the sugars cold. Just qurious more than enything.

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

If you can't get hold of them try Angle Rice Leaven I have been doing testing with this stuff on a different thread. This one had no added yeast. This one I added yeast and it definitely started faster. I'm not yet at the end of the test. But I can say the one without yeast added smells...

Sake / saki Angel Rice Leaven experiment

Update. I left the lunchboxes at the temperature they've been. Not that I don't believe any of the advise but that I started the experiment on a video I watched and I figured I would atleast finish it since there wasn't long left. I have been paying more attention to it the last few days and...

Nice. Yeah I'm probably just going to do that and add a little of irish moss for my ipa. My tap water is destroying my beer. I not long moved to Kent and the same kit I used before and loved tastes awful here. Anyway... Thanks for ya time guys.

    Water profile help.

Need a little help getting my water to a usable state and I don't really know what I'm looking at here. I know its extremely heavy water. Camden tablets will lower the chlorine but other than that I don't know if this even workable. Also. I can do 50/50 with destilled to half the amounts. I...

Yeah it's definitely to cold then. I will move it to a warmer room. We'll if there is definitely yeast in there then the bubbles are probably it trying to start. Will see. I will give it another week. Its interesting that they recommend adding water. I was under the impression you don't. I...
