I think it has more to do with the head space than the bottle type. Maybe the way you fill them is having an impact. Less air volume vs more, something like that

So I brewed my second batch on saturday. NB dry irish stout with safale dry yeast. did everything correctly and woke up the next morning and bubbling away it is. Well its starts forming what i think is krausen but i realized it too light to be krausen. It looked like star san foaming up. Well...
Got a batch of Northern Brewer's Caribou Slobber in the fermenter. Pretty awesome. Thanks everybody for the abundance of information on this site. I'm going to follow the instructions to a T. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
