    And do you feel that accurately represents the temperature of the beer? Or do you set the temperature controller a degree or 2 lower than your target temperature for the yeast because it is probably warmer inside the bottle than on the side?

    My gravity measured 1.020. Still unchanged. I went ahead and bottled. From the tasting, its a little too sweet and I was underwhelmed by the hop flavor. Didn't taste much more hoppy than the tasting before the dry hopping.

    Wow, interesting stuff. I got my concern of leaving it in the primary from reading the complete joy of homebrewing 3rd edition. Guess it lacks some of the latest info (or maybe I haven't read far enough where Charlie discusses the finer points of yeast breakdown).

    What if you need to be flexible about timing to bottling? I thought it was a bad idea to keep beer in the primary for too long. Maybe that doesn't make it an absolute need but for those of us with tight schedules it pretty much is a need?

    I will someday, but for now my brew knowledge is not worthy of writing definitions. I just brewed my 2nd beer, a Imperial IPA I plan on dry hopping, this weekend. I better learn more about cold crashing as it sounds helpful. Maybe I'd add to the Wiki after ;)

    Sure, that would be fine place to use, but the current one is not complete. "Cold Crash" is missing from it for one. "Partial Boil" and "Full Boil" too. I'm sure I'll find more as I start referring to it.
