    What the hell is happening here (slushy beer)

    I have a chest freezer with eight kegs in it. Works great, I keep it at 41F. I went to pour a beer out of one of my pale ale kegs and it seemed stuck.     Brewing/shop shed

    Question about IPA yeast.

    It will work. It won't showcase the hops as much and likely be a little sweeter, but it will work fine. FYI, my absolute favorite IPA yeast is the East Coast IPA yeast from Gigayeast. Find this stuff and you'll be golden.

    I just got the results back from my latest contest. I didn't expect to win. But I did expect some sort of useful comments. Something I could use to improve my beer.     I don't know why but your sentence "I am anal about star-san" is just downright disturbing.

    If you are going to do an ipa, I highly suggest buying some hops and adding them to the fermenter after a week or so. Maybe an ounce of anything that starts with C. Simcoe, Amarillo, Mosiac will also work well.

    Well basically the yeast will work at that temp. However it is likely to cause off flavors. At lower temps, for that style about 68-70, you will have less off flavors.
