    can anyone think of a small part needed for brewing that does not exist?

    sort of, but it seems everytime i put a somewhat warm fermenter in my basement it draws airlock water back into the fermenter as the temperature of the airspace cools .... maybe its just me though.... i meant more like an aquarium airline check valve... it allows air to run in, but stops water...

    pvc, and it can be up to about an 8" cube, but it would get really expensive to produce (its about $30 for a 3" cube)

    bottling spigot on fermenter for SG readings?

    I was wondering, is there any reason i shouldn't put a bottling bucket spigot on my fermenter so that i can draw off small amounts to take hydrometer readings? Or is there a better/ more sanitary way to get small amounts for a sample? thanks, -Matt

    extract brew with non-boiled water?

    Hey I just tried a pre-hopped extract with distilled water, but used non boiled distilled water that was heated in an espresso maker to dissolve the extract... do you guys think this will somehow adversely effect my brew? I dont believe the brewferm instructions specifically say to use...

    munton's premium pilsner kit

    Just wondering about these directions on a munton's extract kit i have bought.     It didnt start bubbling until the next day, when temps were around 77 degrees F, and i am still not sure of the yeast type, but it came in a true brew american wheat kit. (i threw out the bag and trash night is on wednesday :( thanks for the help
