Can i use safale us-05 for an american light? I have a BB american light kit in the works and several yeast packages in the fridge. Unsure of what yeast came with the light beer kit.
Any ideas?
Also have a safbrew wb-06 and a ale yeast, and a muntons yeast pack.
I am brewing a pumpkin ale today and just found a missing ingredient in my kit.
The recipe calls for 1oz of Cascade hops (wich is missing), instead I have 1 oz of Saaz Pellet Hops in the kit.
Can i use the pellet hops instead?
I had a Midwest kit for a Belgian Wit...came with coreander and dried orange peel. I added fresh orage zest from one orange into the wort for the last 15 minutes of boiling. Primary for 2 weeks, secondary for another week.
Best beer i have made so far.
I brewed my bavarian wheat beer and have had no activity in the fermenter for 72(plus) hours (around 70degrees).

Sounds like your priming solution didnt mix well. The way I do it is, I poor the broiled then cooled, priming solution into the bottom of my bottling bucket and siphon the beer into it. Never had an issue with carbonation this way.
brewed a belgium whit that fermented really fast in the primary in only 7 days.
I transfered to the secondary for clearing and theres NO activity at all in the secondary, very little sediment at the bottom.
Should I leave it sit for another week, or is it ready to bottle?
brew my first belgium whit last night. fermentation was going strong this morning, and then stopped this evening. any thaughts? just let it do its thing for a couple of days and not worry about it?
i plan on doing two stage fermentation after a week or two in the primary.
Hi everybody, brand new "bier-brauer" here. Only brewed 2 batches so far, one being an amber ale, the other a belgium whit. Haven't tasted either one but cant wait.
