I would LOVE to see this as a Droid App. Brewzor is kewl, but it's more for AG brewers. I'm not at that level of Beer Expertise yet. Even if it was something that could read a BeerSmith XML and calculate gravity corrections; that would rock. :D
I used the Better Bottle PET Carboys. Would OxiClean still be good to clean them with? I'm presuming I would have to dissolve the OxiClean in hot water before applying to the carboy?
Thanks. My calculated batch size is now 10gal even though my equipment final volume is 5 gal. Still not sure what I'm not getting right. But on a brighter note, my brew day notes now show the correct pre and post boil volumes. :)
I like the application, but I noticed that if you are not mashing, some of the data is off:
If I'm setting things up wrong, please let me know. I do like the app.
Found the post. Aside from the grain, which I won't be using, it calls for:
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM)
0.50 lb Wheat, Flaked (1.6 SRM)
0.25 lb Caravienne Malt (22.0 SRM)
Can't find when these should be added though. Do they go for the full 60 minutes?
What Crystal Grain and how much. Also, what do mean exactly by late addition of the extract? I thought I was supposed let all of the extract boil for an hour?:confused::confused:
