I've got a 5 gallon pot that I've used in the past for a extract brewing. Now that I've got my keggle done, I'm going to use this pot for sparge water. Is there any reason I can't use my step bit to punch a 7/8 in hole in it just like I did the keg and put a weldless ball valve on it instead of buying one? It's a stainless steel cooking pot.
Thoughts?
Just wanted to check before I ruined a good pot.
