Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on cold crashing here.

#1
Cold crashing after primary then move to secondary?

#2
Cold crashing after secondary?

#3
Cold crashing after both primary and secondary?

These were the 3 conditions Iv'e been contemplating... I've only used the cold crash method 1 time and it was after a beer I fermented completely in the primary, dry hopped for a week and then cold crashed.

Thoughts?

Cheers!
Bobby

Cold crashing precipitates the cold haze proteins, so you only have to do it once. Whether you do it in your primary fermenter, or a bright tank (trying to move away from the term 'secondary fermenter') is totally up to you, but in either container, do it about 1 week before you are ready to bottle.

Thats what I thought thanks for all of the input!

Cheers!
