So I've been in the process of making a strawberry blonde ale for the wifey this past week. Plan was to brew my blonde and decide on extract vs frozen berries vs purée. I bought some extract and have read the pluses and minuses of each but remain curious as to which she will prefer. As I am new, I am curious as to issues I might run in to if I take my 5 gallon blonde and split it into two 2.5 g batches in separate 5 G better bottle carboys post fermentation. One would have extract and one with either frozen berries or purée. Plan to ferment in this secondary for about a week then bottle. Any issues I should keep in mind (aside from the drawbacks of extract or fresh fruit)? Thanks everyone!!
