I have 5 gallons of a big batch, all grain, Dunkelweizen, in my primary for 7 days now. I am thinking of adding some brewed coffee and cacao nibs to the secondary prior to bottle conditioning. Good or bad idea? Why?
 
It depends on your tastes. If you think that's gonna taste good than go ahead. Although I would add the coffee at bottling instead of secondary. Imo chocolate could work out but coffee in a dunkel sounds off. But who knows, I've never tried it
 
Thanks for your reply, buzbey. I have added coffee to Munich Dark Lager with good results. I have not tasted a Dunkelweizen so I am not sure how I would like it. I am thinking of adding some to the end of my batch, maybe 10 bottles, to see what it is like.
