can anybody give some advice as to what kind of pot for boiling 10 gallon batches. also what to ferment it in?

I boil in an old converted keg. I ferment in two "ale pails". Someday I'd like to get a 14 gallon conical, but it's not in the budget.

If money was no object, I'd get a 20 gallon Blichmann brewpot, too. They are well designed, and big enough for 10 gallons.

Same here. Boil in a converted keg. Ferment in two carboys/better bottles.
