Default dead space question
I put together a new MLT which consists of a rectangular cooler with a CPVC manifold. I filled the cooler almost completely full of hot water. It ran out everything except for about 6 cups. Is this normal or excessive. Any suggestions on how to lower this amount?

As long as you account for it it's not a problem. I have .75gal dead space with my steel braid cooler.

Agreed. My rectangular cooler and CPVC manifold has a 1/2 gallon dead space.

+1 I have .5 gallon dead space in my round cooler MLT.
