SO i just got my kegerator up and running, just wondering what are the settings that everybody uses for their ranco... The set temp and the buffer amount (i can't remember the real name for it)

Depends on what is in the unit. When serving I usually go 35º with a 5º diff. That way the thing isn't kicking on and off as much putting stress on the unit. I also use my unit for lagering. For that I put it 2º below the optimal fermenting temp for the yeasties (the inside of your fermenter will be warmer do to activity) and a 3º diff.

I used a Love controller instead, and never having used the Ranco, not sure what you can set, but for the Love, I used the following:

Hysteresis: 2 degrees
Min off time: 10 minutes
Min on time: 5 minutes.

This is all "best guess" on my part, since I couldn't find any information on this anywhere (I guess ISASTFA).
