Yep...no need to cut them...just bend them.Once you tap it don't move the keg. Only the first couple pints will have sediment in it. Every time you move it the sediment will get stirred up.
I cold crash in the primary, skip the secondary and get the same results. No more than a dusting of sediment in the bottom of the keg. Probably what gets picked up during racking.I age in a secondary so there is little trub in the keg. No need to cut.
