hey guys- I have plenty of extra fermenters laying around, so I thought it would be fun to do a batch of wine for my mother. her absolute favorite is a petite sirah by bogle vinyards. http://www.boglewinery.com/ourwines_petitesirah.php

Could anyone recommend a kit that may get something similar? i've never done a wine, just beer, but from what I understand its the same process, only wine has to sit for a year or so. any guidance is much appreciated.

I think I may do the Williams Petit Sirah next. I really like the Williams juices. Being a beer brewer, you should be familiar with Williams Brewing Supply...

I'm not. I've only gone local with midwest supplies and northern brewer, both being fairly close to where I live in Minnesota. I had done a quick google search on petite sirah kits and the williams happens to be the only one that i clicked on to look closer at.

the bogle site mentions "intense blueberry" so would adding this: http://www.williamsbrewing.com/2-OZ-NATURAL-BLUEBERRY-P2695.aspx be a good idea, or just go with exactly what the kit provides?

edit: i'd like to mention i know nothing about wines. i refuse to drink it either, the hangovers i've had from the couple times i've done wine is enough to last me a lifetime

I don't "enhance" my Williams kits with anything except maybe some oak, and time.

Wine is for enjoying, not swilling like Coors Lite at a frat party!
