It seems Crescent Moon may be the only brewpub. From Beeradvocate, it seems like The Avenue Pub and DBA may be good places to venture. Anyone have any input on the above or a recommendation?

Crescent City Brewery has good food but the beer is average. There's a Gordon Biersch by the casino as well. Those are the only two brewpubs that I know of.

For a good selection of local beers, try Turtle Bay on Decatur in the lower part of the French Quarter. And if you have time, drive out to Abita and take the tour.

The Avenue Pub is my first choice. Great atmosphere. Good beer. The Bulldog is also a good place to have a beer. When I am in NO I avoid downtown like the plague, except to go to Acme. If you are looking for an exceptionally fun place to drink, go to Ms. Mae's.

Did Avenue Pub last night. It was quiet but still a fun place to hang out because of the people I met. Spent a few hours there. Heading to Turtle Bay in a few minutes then to DBA.

Its new Orleans! go to a gas station go to a store a drug store a minimart walmart kmart You just walk around wit yor mouf opena beer will get in it. If tyou just drink Dixie and Abita the whole time you;; be good. Yuo may not have a drivers lisence anymore but screw it already in no and dont need to drive for beers,

pS Jax brewery is a shiopping mall. not a brewey. so what. you can get a yard long beer in 1 blok.
