What effect will partially freezing beer during cold crash have on final product ? I would like to cold crash a batch in the garage but I will be gone for a week , so it may partially freeze .

i froze a lager in a better bottle, there was liquid beer in the center but the ice was pretty thick. when i finally kegged it it tasted fine but i could not shake the impression that something was off about it, i dumped the last half of the keg.

I'm not above lagering outside, so I've had a couple of batches freeze. I've never noticed any negatives, other than the need to reyeast if you bottle. I'm not sure that there isn't still a workable yeast population there, but I don't trust it, and I really don't want to risk having to recap a batch to test it.
