I read alot of information about washing yeast and have a good understanding of the process, but I have not seen anyone write about what I want to try.
I finished fermenting a belgium blond, OG 1.060 FG 1.010 I racked off into a secondary leaving behind trub and yeast. I placed it in my fridge to cold crash the yeast still in the beer. I have a nice layer after three days and was think to wash this yeast. I was thinking this yeast stayed in suspension the longest and may make a great starter for a future batch.
My question is does anyone out their use this process for yeast collection.
If so. how did it work out for the next batch?
