I did a lot of research about getting almond flavor in a beer and per Denny Conn, I decided to go with an almond extract. I couldn't really get an answer on how much to use so I went with about an ounce (for 3 gallons). While it is only 5 weeks from brew day it tastes pretty bad. I really think it's either low quality extract (watkins from grocery store), too much of it, or maybe it just needs more time.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? It's not a dumper but it's pretty close.

in keg, sorry. Brewed it, ferm for 2 weeks, secondary with coconut for 1 week, in keg for 2 weeks now

An ounce in a 3 gallon batch sounds like a lot. It will probably fade somewhat as time goes by. Let it ride for a while and see if it improves. It's up to you how long you're willing to wait vs dumping it and freeing up the keg.
