Pumpkin Ale additive questions

I just ordered this: (my first partial mash!)

I'm excited about this festive beer and was wondering about adding any additional spices/ pumpkin to enhance flavor. Any ideas?

I also ordered this too. I was planning on adding a can or two of pumpkin (If I can find it in stores). I think it comes with some spices. Which yeast did you get? I went with the White Labs WLP005...

Yeah I went with the White Labs also. When you add pumpkin, you put it in during the boil right?

Usually IMO pumpkin beers have too much spice so I wouldn’t add more than the recipe calls for. But I would get 1-2 large cans of pumpkin and roast it in the oven for 30-45 minutes and add that.

i wouldn't change anything with this one. i've brewed this 3 times and found its better to not even put the pumpkin in it, lots of trub loss. the spice pack is what gives it all the flavor

Thanks for the tip KKK. I was just about to leave work early and go on the hunt to a couple grocery stores for pumpkin. I'll brew it as-is tomorrow.
