Are "Bitter" and "Best Bitter" two completely different beers?.. Do they taste different??

BJCP 2008 Style Guidelines - Category 08

Been reading up since my SMaSH 2-row/Amarillo got a leaky immersion chiller... it was supposed to be APA at 1.052 but ended up a Best Bitter at 1.041.

Compared to an ordinary bitter, the special/best will have a fuller malt backbone (resulting in a fuller body and slightly higher alcohol content) and more hop bittering, otherwise the flavor profile is very similar. Both should be very easy drinking beers and are a couple of my personal favorites.
