batch sparging. I think my 2nd running was to hot. when I thake the cover off my mash tun it almost smells like burnt hair.
What dose this mean?

I took the cover off my mash and it seams to smell ok.
Should I contiue to sparge?
empty tun with 21lbs sparge water was 170-175
All is fine.
What did the mash temp settle to?
Burnt hair? I'm guessing there might be some roasted barley or black patent in your recipe.
