Hey now,
My homebrew club is going to have a club comp with the theme being session beers under 1.042. I was thinking of a basic American Wheat and using some locally grown, organic tangerines. Any other suggestions and/ or recipes? Thanks. Al:mug:
 
I'm partial to Scottish ales myself.

Scottish 70/-
90% Golden Promise or Maris Otter
7% Crystal 20
3% Roasted Barley
Target OG: 1.035-1.040
Mash at 156 F
Use Scottish Ale: Wyeast 1728 or White Labs Edinburgh: WLP028
Boil 90 to 120 minutes
Shoot for 9 to 17 IBUs using only one bittering hop addition with English hops.
 
I make a Rye Pale Ale at 1042 that will knock your socks off. The sweet spot is right around 5-8 weeks after brewing.

Try this one, May have to shop online to get the Oat Malt, Midwest Carries it.I have made this one a number of times and it always makes me smile, it is so good!
