So I recently made the switch to all-grain and I'm getting ready for brew day tomorrow... When I washed my new pot, there was this black dirt on the inside so I boiled some water to clean it up a bit...
When I was done there was a brown layer up to the water level which I'm assuming was the oxidation layer.
When I wiped it dry, there was still the same black dirt all over the inside so I scrubbed it clean but that didn't fix it, and now I'm worried I scrubbed off the protective layer. I don't want my water to taste metallic!
