Twisted Whiskey Sour

1.25oz Bourbon
0.75oz Cointreau
0.25 Honey Water
1.5 Fresh OJ
0.75 lime juice
dash Angostora
dash blood orange

Around now, Whiskey Sour:

half a blender of ice
1 can 7up
1/2 can of frozen lemonade concentrate
a HEALTHY pour of whiskey
1 egg

During the rest of the year, Manhattan.

3 fingers of Bourbon, splash of sweet vermouth.

Rob Roy. We'll have to try the Godfather. My wife likes amaretto.
Oil slick. It's Jager and peppermint schnapps. It's really a large shot.
I also like a plain old Jack or rum and Coke.

Now I'm thinking of what to make with honey whiskeys.

In winter I really like hot drinks, so hot buttered rum is always at the top or near the top of the list. Another good one is a hot B-52. Can't get enough of hot toddies & ghluwein.

The POLAR VORTEX
Heavy Cream (or half & half)
and equal measures of ...
Frangelico
Rumple Minze 100 proof
Stawski Spirytus 192 or Balkan 176 (or Everclear if those are unavailable)

All *alcohol* ingredients are combined freezer-cold ... then served in a snifter BUT with the (refrigerator temp) cream carefully floated as a 1/3"inch layer on top (using a spoon to dribble it in, down the side of the snifter) ... the cream is the "layer of snow" on top.

OR the drink can be served with the alcohol ingredients freezer-cold then mixed with the cream and poured over crushed ice.

i made an old-school fizz last night

2oz random Old Tom gin
juice of half a lemon
tablespoon of superfine sugar

shake with ice, strain into a chilled 6oz glass, top with chilled club soda.

went down pretty good.

Juice of 1-2 fresh limes

Can drink these all day on the beach and feel fine the next day...

1 oz. coconut cream
1 sprinkle cinnamon
2, 3 or 4 oz. rum
Grate on fresh nutmeg

Favorite mixed drink: A three olive martini with sweet vermouth instead of dry vermouth.

Second favorite: mojito

Lately, for some unknown reason, I've been drinking a poor man's margerita spritzer: 3oz mix, 1.5oz tequila, 0.5oz triple sec, top with ice and sprite.

+1 on this! Still remember my first one of these I had at Woody's in St. John. Also love cask root beer and dark rum.

I've always liked those. I just recently saw a story about how they're getting popular again at fancy bars, but people are stealing all of the copper mugs.
