Is there ever a situation when you should not use the entire packet of yeast or vile for a 5 gallon batch? Is there such a thing as using too much yeast?
If you make a small test batch of 1 gallon or 2 gallons maybe, or a half batch of low gravity session beer maybe you wouldn't want to use the entire sachet. Also, yes you can overpitch.
