Dont worry...not asking how to wash yeast. I followed the instructions in Palmers book and on the Wyeast site. I now have a pasta sauce jar full of washed yeast which hasnt separated yet. Should I pour into multiple jars or just leave in one jar?

How many batches can I use this yeast for? Do I use just a portion of the yeast for each batch? Or do I use the whole thing for the first batch and then wash again a couple more times?

You can split the batch and freeze the samples in glycol or just re-pitch the entire jar into your next batch. I don't re-use yeast more than three times, but I think some guys around here do.
