Anyone know what yeast is used in the brooklyn brew shop Everyday Ipa? Was think of pouring something else over the yeast after I bottle but was curious if anyone knew what yeast they use.

Checked their packaging and website but didn't find any info. I normally wouldn't try this but there are not a lot of beer yeast choices at my lhbs'. One carries muntons ale and the other carries notty and belle saison.

Anybody know?

What are the pros and cons to this?

This was my first try at brewing beer but I've been making wines and ciders for a few months now.

I don't know for sure, but I'd put my money on it being a Chico strain (US-05 basically).

Thanks gringo! I'm going to go with us-05 then since I think 1272 is usually in liquid form.
