I was wondering how long a starter will stay good for without having an ill effect. I planned on brewing tonight.. The starter has been active since monday and i can't brew until saturday.. Should i throw it in the fridge?? out??

I can agree with you to a point, but my intent is to try to have both the brew and the starter about the same temps.Glibbidy said:IMHO, You are better of pitching the starter cold right out of the fridge.
I've begun doing this as standard practice, too. When chilled overnight, the yeast falls out of suspension to the bottom of the vessel. I warm it up, decant off most of the spent wort, swirl and pitch!homebrewer_99 said:Put it in the fridge until Sat morning. Take it out to warm up to room temp then.
