Yeast starter yucko (pic included)

Is this brown spot anything I should be worried about? This is about 24 hours into fermentation of my starter.

Did you heat you flask directly? It looks like some scorched ME. Won't hurt a thing, but good luck cleanining out of there.

Oxy clean should take that out. I just cleaned a glass carboy that was caked with crud. Allowed it to soak overnight (filled to the top of the neck) and it is shiny and new. Montanaandy

some of the buy it on a product shots (left of the photo) are hilarious. You can get that photo of the mystery brown spot printed on a trucker hat or a coffee mug.
