Hello All,

Made my first starter for a brew day today. It is close to 48 hours since I started it. Now a family issue has come up and need to postpone brew day until probably Tuesday. What is the best way to store this starter for a few days? How would you bring it back to life to pitch when I finally get to brew?

Thanks

I would just let it sit until tuesday, decant and pitch the yeast.

Agree. Let it sit at room temperature covered with sanitized foil. Yeast will have just as much vitality as yeast harvested from a fermentation and then pitched into a new wort.

Thank you for the advice. Glad to know it will not be wasted. Brewing with it tonight.
