Two quick questions
I'm making a big 5.5 gal batch Imperial IPA (9-10% abv) and was going to use two vials of WLP001 and make starters for them.
So I should 2 liters of water and one cup DME for each?
Is it okay to use a milk jug or juice jug?

Any old jug will do, as long as it's clean and sanitized. If I'm not mistaken, you should have 100g of DME for each liter of water in your starter.

For my big brews, I've already used a sanitized milk carton (after rinsing, of course) that I kept in the dark. Already stepped that up by decanting and adding a fresh DME/water (cooled) on top of the yeast.
