Hey guys I didn't get a chance to brew this weekend so I still have a yeast starter on my stirplate since Friday night. Is it alright to stick it in the fridge until this weekend when hopefully I'll get another chance. I'm guessing it will be fine for a week and will just go dormant. So if I'm ganna brew this Sunday should I take it out Saturday night to come back to pitching temp.

Yeah, there might be a slight lag from them having already switched from reproduction to alcohol production mode but once they realize they're in nice fresh oxygenated wort they should take off no problem.

Not only is it ok, but recommended. You should be cold crashing and decanting your starters. Sounds like you're not. But it's recommended.

Thanks for the quick replies. I went from no decant to decant back to no decant. Never noticed a difference. I'll throw it in the fridge when I get home. Is taking it out Saturday enough time before brewing Sunday.

I love it when search works. Began a starter anticipating brewing today, but turns out I don't have the necessary ingredients. Shame on whomever is in charge of inventory control.

Anyway, I'll stick it in the refrigerator and keep it until next weekend.
