yeast: same recipe, different yeast form

I'm brewing a Fat Tire clone for the second time, and the recipe calls for Wyyeast American Ale (which I used last time) or Nottingham dry (which I happen to have in the fridge). Will the beer taste dramatically different if I use a different type of yeast?

Probably not. It really depends on the yeast strain. You might not notice much of a difference between, say, American ale yeast I and American ale yeast II. But if it is a Belgian strain or an English strain, the beer will be fruitier or less dry. That might be a good thing- depending on what you're looking for. The two yeasts you listed are clean, well attenuating, neutral yeasts. So, you don't get much, if any, flavor from the yeast.
