I'm currently making four, one gallon test batches of apfelwein using different yeasts to see which my girlfriend and I prefer. The catch is I accidentally added a little under one tablespoon of yeast nutrient to two of the one gallon batches instead of one teaspoon. I'm probably closer to 2 or 2.5 tablespoons used in both gallons.

I have read that overuse of nutrient may leave an off flavor that may fade with age, but I'm hoping to avoid this. Has anyone had a similar problem? What was the result? Any thoughts are appreciated.

I used LD Carlson Yeast Nutrient.
