Is it ok to pitch a Wyeast pack and a white labs vial in the same batch.

Of course. Different yeasts lend different characteristics to beer. One you understand what to expect flavor-wise out of your yeast, feel free to blend them. White labs sells blended yeasts all the time.

You should take a look at this website. Scroll down to the comparison chart. I believe the White Labs strain you're looking for is WLP500 Trappist ale, right?

My LHBS gave me WLP530.

I think I am just going to use the white labs 530 by itself. The Wyeast smack pack still hasn't started to expand and it has been almost 8 hours.
