Hi All

I plan to brew the Hazy IPA with Lupomax and T90 hop.
I did check the chatGpt about the amount of Lupomax and T90 hop during the whirlpool.
The answers is as follows.

Lupomax : <1.0g/Liter
T90 : < 2.0g/Liter

The ChatGpt mentioned that if Lupomax over <1.0g/Liter.
The dis-advantage effect will be as follows ; However, I cannot find the relate article to talk about this from Google.

*Unwanted and excessive layers of polyphenols and essential oils
*Aromas "concentrate on the surface" and do not easily integratewith the malt backbone
*Aroma deterioration or collapse occurs within two weeks of packaging.

It is surprise me.
That's because if we follow this rule, the amount of hop dose during whirlpool is very low, especially used the Lupomax hop.
For my original plan, the whirlpool amount of hop, temperature and time is as follows.

19L into Fermenter
75 degree C with 25 min

36g Lupomax Citra
18g Lupomax El dorada
18g Lupomax Idaho 7
18g Citra
9g El dorada
9g Idaho 7

Now, it looks like that it needs to be changed as follows.
Does it correct? I am still double about it.
Please share your though, let me know the comments.

19L into Fermenter
75 degree C with 25 min

10g Lupomax Citra
5g Lupomax El dorada
5g Lupomax Idaho 7
18g Citra
9g El dorada
9g Idaho 7

I'm not sure I fully understand, but I would go with the ratios you initially had planned. I don't trust GPT that much when it comes to brewing. I use about 6-10 g/l total hop in the whirlpool when I brew hazy IPA. I'm not sure how exactly Lupomax scales to T90 pellets, but if it's about double then this should be good.
My only remarks would be to think about your volumes and to swap the Citra and El Dorado amounts. Citra and I7 are very dominant in my opinion, whereas El Dorado is not at all. If you're brewing a hazy you're likely going to dry hop and hop matter will cause beer loss. I aim for 23-24 liters at the end of the boil to get 19 liter into a keg after whirlpool, chilling, dry hop, trub and yeast losses.

1oz of lupomax is equivalent to 1.7oz of t90. So say your original recipe called for 5 oz of t90, you could arguably get the same character from 2.95 oz of lupomax.

That being said, I believe lupomax is an amplifier, not something you just substitute for t90. On our scales, hop loss isn’t that big deal of a deal at all, so I wouldn’t personally use much lupomax or cryo in the whirlpool (maybe an oz or two at most), I’d save it all for dryhoping personally. Say your standard dryhop is 10 oz of t90. A better use of lupomax would be substitute 4 oz of the t90 for lupomax. This way your still hopping with 10oz (6oz t90 & 4oz of t45 or Lupomax)of material but getting the benefit of 12.8 oz of hop character
