I'm thinking of doing a new German lager tomorrow with some wyeast 2206. The grain bill will be 90% pils and 10% cara the hop schedule will be around 18-20 IBUS of hallertau pellets. Full ro water with no additions. Will this yeast be close to style. I know it might end up drier than normal but could be heavy on the malty side too which isn't particularly bad. What's everyones thoughts. I helped a buddy harvest this yeast but I'm not familiar with it's use.

That will make a helles. Is that what you want? If you're wanting to make a German pils you'll need to up the hops.

you will need a minimum of 50ppm of calcium or your beer wont clear among other things.
