Wrong Bucket.

Ok so I accidentally fermented in my bottling bucket - both of my buckets have spigots. It wouldn't be a problem but the spigot is a little lower on the bottling bucket than my fermentor. Would it matter significantly if a little of the trub made its way into my other bucket when bottling? I am a few a days away from my scheduled bottling day and will have no way of getting a siphon before then. Any advice would b greatly appreciated!

if you have a racking cane just transfer the beer into your empty bucket with a spigot.

No. If you don't have an auto-siphon or racking cane, you can use the lower-mounted spigot. You may want to gently put something under the bottom of the bucket in the front (like a couple of CD cases) so that it slightly raises the spigot side.

If you are going to transfer using the spigot, make sure to run 3/8" food-grade tubing from the spigot into the bottom of the second bucket when you are transferring and batch priming sot that the beer doesn't splash. Otherwise, you'll oxygenate the heck out of it and have beer that goes stale fast (think wet cardboard flavor).

Thanks for the responses and awesome advice! I will tilt the bucket and I do have the right tubing and a bottle filler so as not to aerate it. Thanks again everyone!
