I made my first oatmeal chocolate stout the other day (Saturday) and everything went off without a hitch. OG was 1.060, a bit higher than expected but still no worries there. Now, it's fermenting and the yeast layer seems to have settled in the middle of my fermenter. I switched the blow off tube to an airlock since it's not getting too vigorous. I included this image to show what's going on
Do I have to agitate the wort so that the yeast gets to the bottom area? Will the yeast eat it's way to the bottom? I'm using a British Ale yeast.
