phooo. Well it has only been bottled two weeks so I ain't sweatin' yet but man. Blech.
My first all grain is not too pleasant at the moment. Since it is my first all grain batch I guess I am not sure what to expect. Do they tend to be "greener" tasting at first than say an extract or pm batch?
It is a best bitter. It is well, kind of "gassy"? Sort of sulphur-ey but more like a match after you blow it out. Maybe DMS but hopefully not becasue that does not go away does it? It is not very malty sweet at all but that may be covered by the other flavors. I can detect the hops but not pleasantly. It is not awful wretched but not something I would seek out to drink. I'll give it a few weeks. Just moved it too the cellar anyways.
I guess the oly thing I am "concerned" about is that damn yeasty looking coating on the sides of the bottles. I have been scrubbing soaking and sanitizing the crap out of my bottles since the easyeast episodes but I am still paranoid there is residue and it is spreading!!!
:cross:
Okay breathing...
