Made my third batch a few weeks back and got the green light from SHMBO to turn her mini fridge into a Kegerator. And a friend let me use one of his ball lock kegs and gas setup until I get my own. Turned out really well I must say for my first time.

And I just pulled the first draw off the keg! An Irish Stout..Tastes lovely! :) My understanding is that stouts and porters shouldn't have a lot of carbonation, and this one doesn't..Kind of weak head, but from other stouts I have drank they don't seem to produce much head either..Did I mention it is delish! :D

Yeah, I did a porter for my first batch that I bottled. It would get a very small head about like yours. A little bigger but nothing crazy after two weeks bottle conditioning.

very cool, what size fridge is that? Im in the process of ordering parts to convert my mini fridge and I was going to go with 2 kegs but looking at yours it appears 2 wouldnt even fit.

The best part about kegging is that you very easily control the carbonation level. If you want it more carbonated simply bump up the pressure using a carb chart or calculator. Remember to give it 2-3 weeks to equilibrate!

This model will fit two ball lock kegs and a three gallon if you externally mount the Co2 tank. It's a Frigidaire 4.4 Cu. Ft. All you really have to do to it is just slide the light and controller back. Here's a link to it.

Congrats and welcome to the world of kegging!! I just got into it, built a keezer and have succesfully kegged 5 batches of beer so far. Not to mention cider and ginger beer for when the wife has girls over!! Im in love with it and never want to go back to bottling!!!
BTW- read the sticky threads at the beginning of this forum. They are extremely helpful to beginner kegging...
