Everyone's got their own tastes, same as anything else. That doesn't mean it's not music, it just means it's not what the listener would consider to be musicI was just being polite

But if you're open to listening to something that may change your perception, check out Little Simz (Point and Kill is the song that caught my attention) (she's done so well for herself), or if you want to try something on the American side, try Kendrick Lamar.
If you wanted a sort of rap lite, then try something that's increasingly gained popularity over the past say 5 years - spoken word. So give Yard Act a listen (they're fantastic), Wet Leg (another brilliant band) or Sleaford Mods (love this band a lot), or there's a big following for someone I'm not a fan of - Kae Tempest.
My wife hates electronic music and says it's ****. To me, there's no such thing as **** music. Some may not be to my taste, but I think it all deserves a chance and some time in the spotlight.
