Ok. So the recipe:
10.5 pilsner
5.0 2-row
1.5 crystal 40
3.0 dark amber sugar

It's a modification of a gulden draak clone.

I'm 2 days in fermentation seems to be going well but maybe not as aggressive as I thought.

Big question, for some reason my OG came up at 1.117. Higher than I expected. Will my yeast be OK? Will it likely stall out? Will it die?

I have faith in those microscopic little bastards but even the best of us get too drunk to f**k.

Did you make a starter? If so, how big? Did you aerate? How?

a beer that big needs a big healthy starter and good aeration for it to finish out.

I just used a starter kit from local store. Maybe about a quart. Just shook to aerate. I had good activity at about 10 hrs in. Should I plan on having to re-pitch?
